Meet our Head Coach!

Nunawading Little Athletics is excited to announce a new and improved FREE coaching program, available to all our athletes throughout the summer season 

We welcome Angela Phillips as our new Head Coach of Nunawading Little Athletics. With over 20 years’ experience in track and field as an athlete and coach, having undertaken but not limited to Head Coach, Coaching Coordinator and Junior Development roles, Angela is ready to pass on her extensive knowledge and passion for the sport to our athletes.

Angela's Bio:

Angela is a transformational athletics coach who has a passion for assisting young people, and adults to amplify their strength, agility, power and performance.

This results in optimising confidence, attitude and resilience to achieve greater results in all areas of life.

Angela's philosophy is based on the premise that athletics is a modality to transform physically, mentally and emotionally and sets a foundation for functional successful adulthood.

Offering both group and one on one training programs which are tailored to the individual. With over 12 years experience in the industry working in various roles coaching junior, senior and masters athletes, as well as a variety of other sports.

Angela will lead specific skill training sessions which will focus on events running on the following Saturday and will be available most Saturdays throughout the summer season. 

We also welcome Kai, Elise and Aidan as junior coaches who bring their own experiences competing as Nunawading athletes in previous years. 

To ensure the coaching team is able to provide a high quality program, catering for athletes in attendance, athletes must sign up the day prior to the coaching sessions. Parents must also remain on site during the session.
